Inside all of us is the desire to scale a mountain, or to cross a land end to end. To push ourselves to do the impossible. We’re proud to announce we’re collaborating with Chris Burkard, Rebecca Rusch, Angus Morton, and Therabouts to support the first ever self supported fat bike expedition across the vast, Iceland interior starting next week.
Riding across the remote snowy and frigid interior from north to south, the team will be facing grueling winter weather and pushing their limits of endurance to overcome the ride. The-traverse across the roadless Iceland interior in the grueling winter months aimed at highlighting the natural beauty of the world, the inspirational power of physical journey and the joy of witnessing something that’s never been done by human beings before.
Follow the team @chrisburkard @rebeccarusch @thatisgus @thereabouts for first-hand footage of the team’s gear packing that will definitely include Chamois Butt’r 9mLs for on-the-go chafing protection.
Beginning in Akureyri and cutting a direct route south through the rugged glacial interior to Vik in the south, the team plans to traverse some of the most remote, beautiful and difficult terrain the country has to offer.
